Day 2: from Ferrara to Gambulaga
In the morning, a scheduled visit to the medieval-renaissance city: the narrow streets, the particular internal gardens of many historic buildings and houses, make Ferrara an absolute cultural and touristic spot. The cycle path to Gambulanga, starting near the Bagni Ducali, starts our cycling trip. The itinerary winds through the cultivated countryside up to Voghenza. Voghenza was an important center on the bank of an ancient riverbed of the Po river until the Este era, when instead, with the construction of the Delizia di Belriguardo, Voghiera, built on the other bank of the Po, assumed greater importance. Not far from Gambulaga, it is possible to admire the exterior of the Belriguardo castle and the unspoiled nature of the Two Laghi del Verginese. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel / Agriturismo.   STAGE DEVELOPMENT: 28 km

Day 3: Gambulaga-Pontemaodino-Pomposa
Our journey continues reaching San Vito where it is suggested to visit the church which, together with Argenta one, are the oldest in the whole Ferrara area. Then we continue to Migliarino, the town of seven towers, cycling through cultivated fields along the ancient riverbed of the Po di Volano up to Codigoro. Here you can enjoy an excellent ice cream at the "Gelateria Riminese” and then cross the bridge over the Po. You will cycle along the cycle path to the Benedictine Abbey of Pomposa. Few people know that the monk Guido d'Arezzo, during his stay in Pomposa, was the first to code the modern structure in musical notes. Near the Abbey, at the Corte Madonnina company, tasting of Bosco Eliceo wines, ancient wines of the sands and other typical products in the Corte Madonnina company. Are highly recommended. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel / Agriturismo.   STAGE DEVELOPMENT: 39 km

Day 4: from Pomposa to Comacchio
We are now in the heart of the Po Delta Park. From the Abbey of Pomposa we continue following the cycle path on the bank of the Po di Volano, you can enjoy the birds populated Canneviè Oasis , the view of the Torre della Finanza on the Volano embankment until you reach Lido di Volano. You will then pedal on the cycle path in the Pineta di Volano Nature Reserve to Lido delle Nazioni. From Lido delle Nazioni skirting the lake, you can walk along the shores up to Porto Garibaldi, one of the ports with the most important fleet in the North Adriatic for blue fish fishing. Thanks to the pedestrian and bikes ferry-boat in the port-channel, you can reach Lido degli Estensi and head towards the Valleys of Comacchio along a road section and then a cycle path. You cannot miss the stop and the panoramic view from the turret on the Logonovo canal and along the way, surrounded by the water of Valle Fattibello and the salt pans, the splendid spectacle of flamingos and other birds. Then you reach the lagoon city of Comacchio. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel / Agriturismo.   STAGE DEVELOPMENT: 37 km

Day 5: Comacchio-Argenta
The day begins with a visit to the historic center of Comacchio and its several churches but above all, its unique Trepponti, a seventeenth-century pentarch bridge that recalls the city's lagoon past. The best way to visit the city is certainly aboard the "batana", the typical lagoon boat made available by volunteer boatmen along the internal canals. At the end of our visit, we continue to Argenta, skirting the Comacchio Valleys and taking the road on the Argine Agosta and crossing the reclaimed Valleys of the Mezzano until it connects to the cycle path of the Reno River or directly reaching Argenta following roads with little traffic. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel / Agriturismo.   STAGE DEVELOPMENT: 47 km

Day 6: Argenta-Ferrara
We have reached the last stage of this extraordinary tour. Near Argenta, a town razed to the ground by the allies in the Second World War, a visit to the ancient Pieve di San Giorgio exterior and the Valleys, freshwater swamps with the purpose of reclamation with the neighboring plain wood, is a must. Here it is possible to practice birdwatching and visit two particular museums, the Historical-Naturalistic Museum of the Argenta Valleys and the Museo della Bonifica. Then, following part of the cycle path and part of the road, which run along the Po di Primaro, you will reach Ferrara around 6.00 pm. Return of the bicycle, bag and helmet.   STAGE DEVELOPMENT: 41 km
